Business development representative (no current openings)
pumpspotting is a mobile app purpose-built to provide baby-feeding parents with the support needed to achieve their breastfeeding goals, whatever they may be, and to enable companies to create baby-feeding-supportive cultures that attract and retain working parents.

The position
We are actively expanding our sales team by adding a tenacious Business Development Representative to sell our turnkey lactation support platform to employers. This stunning team member is responsible for bringing in and managing new business opportunities, leading the engine that qualifies inbound and drives outbound sales opportunity generation for pumpspotting.
The primary goal is to help book meetings and fill the pipelines for the sales team. The Business Development Representative will report to the Senior Director of Sales and will work closely with multiple teams; sales, marketing, product and executive. Success in this role will require a motivated self-starter who can work independently and grow with the team.
Your job
Prospecting
Identifying suspects in the global marketplace using the best means to find and pursue, including internet search, event attendance, data analysis and social media strategy
Converting suspects into prospects for Account Executives
Seeding, cold calling, social research and interaction, etc.
Prospecting calls with potential customers to ascertain need and fit
Pre-qualifying inbound leads
Managing, tracking and documenting all personal sales activities and results in CRM, which is currently HubSpot
Identifying and attending conferences and marketing events that result in new business
Assisting in the execution of attending, exhibiting at and sponsoring select business events

You have great communication skills to engage with our cross-functional team, share prospect feedback and support successful outcomes
You love connecting with people and finding ways to engage folks: you are at ease picking up the phone, dogging down an intriguing lead or getting creative when it comes to making a new introduction
You are obsessed with customers and need to work with a team that builds solutions to solve their problems
You are experienced at using web-based tech tools - such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Suite, Slack, HubSpot, Asana and Canva - to create, communicate and document
You have 3-5+ years of customer-facing experience which amounts to myriad stories about how, when you stumbled upon a customer problem, your solution resulted in dollars
You are energized by joining an early-stage company where every day looks different and you will not only contribute to long-term strategy, but also roll up your sleeves day-to-day to achieve key objectives
You are passionate about maternal health, and interested in connecting, nourishing and cheering on new parents
